Practice the 20-20-20 rule when using digital devices for telecommuting / learning at home. It consists in that every 20 minutes we look away from the screen and look at an object located at a distance of 20 feet – just over six meters – for a period of 20 seconds.
Alternate between sitting and standing when using digital devices such as a tablet and / or laptop.
Hold the arm that is holding the smartphone with the other hand, and hold your phone to keep your neck as straight as possible.
Use a tablet / smartphone holder or case and try to raise your height to eye level or slightly below by placing the device on a stack of books or magazines.
Use landscape orientation as the standard when browsing or viewing content on digital devices.
After sending an email or text, stop what you’re doing. Put your device on the table. Stretch out and drop your shoulders , letting your hands drop to your sides. Neck retraction is an effective way to regain spinal alignment.
Use an external keyboard when typing on Tablet or Smartphone for a long time.
